M3 Accounting + Analytics, the national leader in hotel-specific accounting software, operations reporting and business analytics, has closed out its fifteenth year in the industry with another successful year of growth in 2013.
In December, M3’s flagship hotel accounting platform, AccKnowledge, crested the 3,000 threshold of active hotels online. In addition, the company’s business intelligence and analytics solution, M3 Link, experienced continued growth in 2013; and M3 RightTime, M3’s new tablet-deployed labor and payroll management suite (launched in Q4 of 2013) continues to gain momentum. Overall, nearly 500 hotel management companies in North America are using M3’s products at over 3,250 hotels, processing over $10 billion in payables annually.
To put the exponential growth of the company over the last few years into perspective, Scott Watson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, explains, “M3 was created to fill a void for hotel companies seeking industry-specific back office tools. It took 9 years to grow to 1,000 properties served; just 4 years to grow to 2,000, and in the last two years, we have jumped to over 3,000 hotels online.”
Because the AccKnowledge platform is a private, cloud-based application that can be accessed anywhere, any time, the 3000+ properties have over 12,000 users on the system at any given moment, ranging from corporate team members to property level users, field managers and outsourced accountants. The robust system handles approximately 12,500 transactions daily.
M3 President and COO, Allen Read, explains, “AccKnowledge is truly becoming the industry standard accounting platform. Through our continued relationships with some of the most distinguished hotel management companies in the business and our partnership with several leading hospitality schools throughout the US, we are ensuring that AccKnowledge and M3’s other web-based products are the tools of choice for hospitality leaders of today and tomorrow.”
Last year, M3 founder and Chief Executive Officer John McKibbon established the M3 Center for Hospitality Technology and Innovation at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee’s College of Hospitality and Technology Leadership (CHTL). The Center will serve as a hub for research, teaching and learning for both undergraduate and master’s level hospitality students, and will provide a test bed for more advanced research in hospitality benchmarking and accounting.
M3’s integrated suite of hospitality accounting products includes: AccKnowledge, M3 Link, M3 RightTime, and document imaging– all designed to help provide hotel operators, owners and managers unsurpassed access to the information they need in the most integrated and cost effective manner. M3 has certification by all leading industry associations, offers CPE credit training, and is the only hotel accounting and analytics software provider that is SSAE-16 SOC II certified.
