Dennis Jackson, Executive VP, finance at M3, joins the podcast as our new co-host to Darren Greenwald for the second season of M3 Minutes. As we ease into this season Darren and Dennis spend this first episode talking about Dennis’ career and telling industries stories.

About Dennis Jackson:

Dennis graduated from the University of Georgia, with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Finance. He also has over 34 years accounting experience, with over 28 of those years in the hospitality industry. He started in hospitality in 1986 as an Assistant Controller for McKibbon Brothers, Inc. Then in 1988, he was promoted to Controller and was responsible for their accounting functions and their full-service portfolio. In 1996, he was promoted to Vice President of Accounting which coincided with the decision of John McKibbon to develop a web-based accounting software application which was specific to the hospitality industry. His experience with accounting systems was useful because he assisted in the development of specifications for the accounting application which we know today as Accounting Core. This led to his promotion as the Executive Vice President of M3 Professional Services where his accounting background, along with his managerial skills, allowed him to grow a new department. Now that he has taken on more fiduciary responsibilities at M3, being elevated to the Executive Vice President of Finance made a perfect marriage between his skill sets and the needs of M3.
